About Our ClientOur client is an ASX listed mining company who operate a tier-1 asset in the Lithium space, with plans to expand existing operations as well as explore new ground locally and internationally.
Job Description
- Lead and develop a team of 4.
- Provide the Board and Senior Executives with consolidated financial results including variance analysis commentary to assist decision making.
- Preparation of the Annual and Interim Financial Reports in compliance with Accounting Standards and ASX reporting requirements.
- Providing accounting and regulatory guidance in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards including the preparation of accounting papers for the Audit and Risk Committee.
- Providing technical accounting support, identify and analyse accounting issues.
- Preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations relating to technical accounting issues, e.g. share based payments, leases, debt, transactional and rehabilitation provisions.
- Coordinate and oversee the audit process as the primary point of contact for the auditors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Be a key contributor and mentor to the finance team.
- Ad-hoc project work as required.
The Successful Applicant
- Prior experience as a Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Manager or similar technical role preferably in an ASX listed company
- Experience in preparing statutory ASX quarterly, half-year and full-year reporting
- Tax effect accounting experience
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with C Level Executives
- Self-driven approach and experience in taking the initiative and making decisions
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to interact and engage with stakeholders across businesses
- Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word and other accounting systems
- ERP experience - Pronto is desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills
